The dancers are extras in the Bollywood film Heyy Babyy, the biggest Indian movie undertaking in Australia, which was being filmed in Sydney’s Royal Botanical Gardens yesterday.
The production will spend six days shooting footage for a spectacular seven-minute dance sequence in which the lead male character attempts to swoon the mother of his baby.
“He is trying to cheer her up,” said writer-director Sajid Khan, explaining the impossible happiness exacted from the mostly Australian supporting cast.
The film is a story about three Indian men who discover one of their former flames has had a child.
They travel to Australia to find her and discover who has become a father.
