Robbie Williams Scores Telly Job
Footie mad Robbie Williams is being lined up to present Sky One's hit show The Match.
The Robster - a dyed-in-the-wool Port Vale fan - will turn his hand to hosting when it returns to our screens in October.
He was a keen follower of the first series and even showed up at Newcastle's St James's Park stadium along with 52,000 fans to see best pal Jonathan Wilkes play.
And afterwards he said: "I'd love to play if there's a match next season."
But it is not known if he will line-up to play this time around.
A source told The Mirror: "Everybody knows he is obviously football mad - and who knows, it could lead to a new career for Robbie if he wants it."
Last year a celebrity XI with the likes of Mark Bosnich, Ralf Little and MC Harvey narrowly lost to a team of former professionals.
