ROBBIE Williams may not be able to crack America with his singing career but he's all set to hit the big time with his acting skills. Famed American movie director Irwin Winkler, who won an Oscar for producing Sylvester Stallone's hit Rocky, has taken Robbie under his wing and is determined to turn the 30-year-old into a movie star. Irwin has already given Robbie a part in the upcoming Cole Porter biopic De-Lovely, which stars Ashley Judd and Kevin Kline, and he admits he's bowled over by Robbie's talents. "He was so successful in this movie," says Irwin, "that when we do the TV slots to promote the film, we're using scenes of him singing De-Lovely. He's really great." Irwin, who now wants to give Robbie a starring role in a big-screen musical, adds: "I picked him for the film because I had seen a TV special and knew he could do it. "Then I saw this photo of him with tattoos all over his body and he was kind of grungy looking but when I met him, I was surprised because he's a gentle guy. "He came along to the studios and put on a tuxedo - which hid all his tattoos - and he looked great. "I really want to use him again, I'd love to and I'm thinking of doing another musical. "It would be such a joy." And for us, too!

I love the maori and the cross but the rest is a bit too much i think... I esp don't like the swallows...

I don't really like tattoos, but some of Rob's are really nice. Love the maori!

LOL. Now, I wonder what a psychologist would make of a woman tattooing her brother's name on her?..

Rob has such a perfect body, it is a shame to ruin it with tattoos. Some men you don't care, they don't look so hot anyway..

Ohh I hope not V. I honestly thing enough is enough, in fact as I said before there are about 9 too many already ! I love the Maori one, the original celtic cross is pretty sexy, and the B behind the ear is Ok as well (better if it was a G :) ) but not keen at all on the rest. I just hope he doesnt copy Beckham - the new one on the nape of his neck is awful.

Chacun a son gout and the swallows will be the first under the laser when Im Mrs Williams :D

I love the Maori one but I hate the swallows and esp.the"all you need is love"one
because the lower back is something for a girl's tattoo but not for a man.
I also think he's got too many.
Well there's a big risk of getting addicted to tattos.
After my first one I said"Never again"!
Now I've got three and that's definately enough,
although I sometimes think"Well,another one would be nice".
I think Rob,being a very addictive person,just missed the"now it's enough"part.

Ooooh the tattoos! See I can't really say I don't like them because I've got one myself...... And no I'm not a grungy biker either! :p
As for his tats, some I like (the tribal in particular), some I'd have to see in close-up ;) to decide!

It was simply disgusting - quite a shock when you discover that Mr. R.P.W. is so not perfect ;) Although I donŽt like most of his tats (except the "B") I found it quite cute that heŽs so proud of all his little pictures and has to show them around ;) And heŽs aware of his two swallows that one day, when he gets older and will put on more weight, they might turn into two fat penguins...:D

Oops, that must have been pretty bad. If he had had the tattoo since May (or something) and it still itched in July... (@)

I remember the Charlotte Roche interview last year when he was talking about getting 'the swallows' for his next tattoo, and she asked 'What happens when you grow a belly?'. 'Big swallows' LOL
Love that interview. :D
