Finished mixing of the new Rob songs
Sunday May 30th, 2004
According to Stephen Duffy, one of the new collaborators, for next Robbie Williams album, the mixing of the new songs is finished !
Stephen Duffy, just wrote on his website : "Finished mixing the new Rob songs at Air. It all sounds beautiful."
Air Studios are located in London. We can think Duffy just finished the mixing of the new songs, just before Rob came back in L.A.
We don’t know when the new Robbie Williams new album will be out, but maybe at the end of the year !
Stay Tuned !
thanks to robbiewilliamslive
Maybe he is going to surprise us again - with an earlier release date of the album.

So, the songs Stephen did with Rob have been finished. Okay, that's a start at least. :)

That would be great news, but it doesn't mention how many songs (or the album). I still think we'll be stuck with Greatest Hits this year. :~

thats what I found on the http://www.thelilactime.com/-site....
...... The first song written with Rob is out in October. Whilst in the castle and away from retail outlets I used the world wide web to obtain Seven Swans by Sufjan Stevens, Carbon Glacier by Laura Veirs, Time Is Just the Same by Isobel Campbell, On My Way by Ben Kweller, Homesongs by Adem, Life by Johnny Cash, Rhythm Oil: Journey Through the Music of the American South by Stanley Booth, Revolutionary Road by Richard Yates, The Coral Sea by Patti Smith, Trampin' by Patti Smith, Working for the Man by Tindersticks, Swansong For You by the Gentle Waves (hello once again Belle & Sebastian completeist), One Jug of Wine, Two Vessels by Bright Eyes & Neva Dinova, I Want to See the Bright Lights Tonight & Pour Down Like Silver by Richard & Linda Thompson, Rushmore & Bottle Rocket , Oh Inverted World by the Shins, Bob's Bootleg Series, Volume 6: Concert at Philharmonic Hall, 1964 (she's coming on now), Post to Wire by Richmond Fontaine, 3 Piece Suite by Jack Nitzche, Cadilac Walk by Mink DeVille, The Bona World of Julian and Sandy: Starring Kenneth Williams, Hugh Paddick & Kenneth Horne and in the same vein Bob Neuwirth by Bob Neuwirth ( he's definitely getting on now). and all of those 33 and 1/3rd books. Some of it was quite good. hope you're okay x

Usually there are one or two new songs included on greatest hits albums, that are out as singles. This October release could be one of those.

Agree here, Vlatka. What was it called again? Something like "The great pretender"? I´d LOVE to have a new album out this year (who does not..), but I fear this GH album will come out first. But I wonder why it is a bad move, nikki_gal_88? It´s overdue, it´s part of the EMI contract and I´m sure people will buy it - it´s a cash cow with not much costs involved...

I have to say I don't think a GH would be such a great move either, because the last album he released was the Live album - which already IS kind of like a Greatest Hits album.
Plus, I find a GH album after only 4 albums of own material a bit ridiculous.
I think it's high time for some new material. :D It would fit in with his rhythm of releasing a new album every two years since 1998 as well. ;)

We all know how much Rob LOVES the Christmas number 1 :D

I think EMI loves it more, than Rob! :)

Well, having given up on the B-sides album (although, you never know......) I for one am not exactly waiting for a greatest hits thingy with a couple of new tracks........ Especially, as someone noted, since the lat one was the live album.
So, come on bring on a new album with new material!!!!!!!! Yeah!
