Singer Robbie, 30, — who has never managed to pass his test — had to be taken by pal Jonathan Wilkes, 26, in the black and chrome 5.5 litre Mercedes McLaren SLR.

An onlooker said in Los Angeles: “He still looked like the cat who got the cream.”
