I've been listening to a few b-sides, and one of my favourites is 'Karaoke Star'.

There's that bit in the song between the 'oooohhhooooo' and the 'everyone say I'm pretty, everyone say I'm handsome' bit towards the end where Mr Williams mumbles a couple of words in a weird voice and then a few 'normal' words. (starting at 2:19)

Does anyone understand any of this??

All I hear is 'how many girls did I ... ' but that's about it.

Karaoke Star was a b-side on one of the 'Kids'-Singles.

Well, since I haven't bought Rob's singles and keep the b-side tracks etc. on a CD, I never have a clue when they were released. *lol* Sorry.

I listened to it but cant make a word out.. never really thought about it before...but I love that song and it just reminded me how good it was. He has so many fab B sides that I forget about

@claire: I think I'm the worst when it comes to buying(in fact not buying ;) )his singles.
The only b-sides I can think of are "Average B-side" and "Killing me"(top songs by the way!)

Cheers, brokeblonde, for offering me a copy of the tune, but surprisingly I realised that I actually have it. (@) I was given some songs recently and Karaoke Star is among them. So I'm gonna listen to it and give you my ideas, okay?

@Phoebe I am glad to see that I am not the only one who's not buying his singles. *lol* In fact I haven't bought the albums (except the first one) either.The B-Sides you mentioned I can remember. Wahey! :p

Ok,Ok,I have to admit that I bought his albums and quite liked them all(apart from"Sing when you're winning")
But I think he doesn't need my support with buying singles....he won't starve
if I don't. ;)
I prefer to enjoy him live.... :D

I don't buy his singles either, I used to - but they would end up in a cupboard somewhere and never came out. I've even sold most of them. I do listen to the albums every now and again though, and if there's a really good b-side Nic usually sits me down to listen to it, but I think I've missed loads!

I don't have his last two or three singles but will buy them someday! Just want to have it all complete.... As Karin said, they end up in a cupboard but who cares? :D

Well,probably a few songs are ok......but I prefer the Swing album.
Escapology is also fine,but I've always loved the very first one....it was more honest!
He was living what he was singing and nowadays I sometimes get the feeling
that he's gone a bit too comercial! :(

But that's just my personal opinion!

I think the first one is still my favourite but musicwise Escapology is his best one I think... Not too keen on I've been expecting you although there are some really good songs on there...

i love them all, but escapology is definatly my fave, its the album I always wanted him to make.... Ive been expecting you is my least fave as well, although i love it still

I LOVE Escapology too, there are so many good songs on there! I like Life thru a lens as it was his first one and I was really excited, but some of the songs I don't know, they kind of annoy me now.

I guess I'm the only one whose fave is IBEY. ;) Well actually I like them all, depending on my mood. Although ever since it was released Escapology's been in my CD player the most.

It was just the album that turned me into a fan, and I just loved everything that was involved with it - the 2000 webchat, Where Egos Dare, the tour(s)...

i do like sing when you're winning etc but its a little perfect production wise... I prefer the ones which sound more live if you know what I mean.

Sorry, but I only seem to understand a few words in that certain part of the song. If he had to say something really important, they should have mixed the song that way. ;)
