I finally DID get a scanner today (I'm such a nutter), and I thought I'd scan a few pics to practise - these are from my holiday back in February - I was in LA, San Diego and Palm Springs. :D
The pics were taken by my friend, who is not the most excited and motivated photographer on this planet ;)
Here come a few LA pics:

LOL
I think you are almost as computer illiterate as I am... Why is it they keep changing the computer rules once I figure them out???

Uhm actually I'm quite good with stuff like that, I just tried a new provider that doesn't do what I want it to do.... lol.

Sandra - 22.05.2004 - 15:43

Oh what lovely pics Sandra. Makes me all wistful and stuff. Especially the pics of S.M. - my home away from home.

Now I want to go to Sea World. Let's see, the closest one is in San Antonio, which is 5-6 hours away. Should I do it????

Hmmm if you want to pay a whole lot of money to then find these beautiful animals locked up in very small basins and tiny fish tanks, ending up thinking that dolphins and wales and penguins shouldn't be caged just for us to be able to stare at them... then I'd say 'go' ;)
I have to admit I didn't enjoy Seaworld very much.

I was already wondering why you visited Seaworld ... such "institutions" are a shame and completely against animal rights...

Great pics!!! :)
I've been to L.A. too but didn't enjoy it as much as I enjoyed San Francisco or Vancouver or Boston. But I think you're totally right with what you said about shows like Seaworld. For exactly the same reason I refuse to go to circus shows. In Las Vegas I preferred going to a variety show and rejected Sigfried & Roy. (They now see the results of misusing wild animals.)

My friend wanted to go and he paid for it... and I didn't think it would be THAT bad. But I was actually quite shocked - and I'm usually not someone who is into protecting animal rights.
:~
There was this little penguin in this horribly tiny plastic penguin tank who kept swimming against the glass wall because he didn't understand that he couldn't go any further... I almost cried. :(

That's really really sad!
I'd never go to these kinds of parks(although I absolutely love Fun Parks in General).
A few weeks ago I went to the Zoo(haven't been there for ages) with my friend's nephew and nice.
There was this leopard and he was totally apathetic.
He kept on walking up and down and didn't even react when some kids knocked
against the window.
I really hate to see beautiful and (usually)proud animals in cages. It makes me sick..... :@
